A day in Italy is best spent enjoying artisan wine, cheese, and traditional Tuscan local cuisine. Our 700-year-old farm, set in the rolling hills you to tour, sip, swirl, and enjoy lunch — all while learning about the property’s artisanal production and products.

This Tuscan tasting experiences introduce you to Italy’s world-famous artisan wine and cheese — highly praised, farm-to-table.

Step into the vineyards of a historic Etruscan farm set in the gentle hills between Florence and Siena. Venture back in time and wind along the ancient Via Cassia, where rolling green fields melt into clean air and blue sky.  The farm sits on a Tuscan hilltop, overlooking the valley stretching from Florence to Siena.  Herds of sheep graze naturally in the pastures, providing the purest milk for the property’s artisan cheeses.  Chianti, Sangiovese, Canaiolo, Malvasia, and Trebbiano grapes are grown in centuries-old vineyards, then crafted into exquisite reds and whites by the team of knowledgeable and talented winemakers.  Thousands of organic olive trees dapple the hillside, ripe fruit awaiting their savory press in the oil mill.  Come along and taste for yourself the artisan food products of Toscana!

Artisan Cheese & Wine Tour in Tuscany ~ Halfway Between Florence & Siena

A herd of over 650 sheep graze in the pastures — awaiting milk collection in the early mornings.  Milk production is highest in the spring and summer, when farmers walk out to the pastures and collect milk each morning, but cheese is available year-round.  The family has spent 25 years perfecting fifteen varieties of sheep’s milk cheese, from creamy Blu and Ricotta to sharp Pecorino.  A Tuscan favorite, Pecorino Toscano dates back to the times of the Etruscans and remains an important ingredient in Tuscan cuisine.  The highlight of this tour is the giant wheel of Ruota del Rey, which is best served with grapes from the vineyard. The cheese production is high quality and provides truly delicious cheeses supplied to some of the finest restaurants in nearby Tuscany

Experience an in-depth guided tour of the property’s grounds, from the vineyards to the rustic cellars where the cheeses are stored.  During the tour, discover the wines, cheeses, and olive oils, produced organically on the farm.  Following your tour, everyone enjoys a Tuscan lunch in the Italian countryside.

The menu includes:  3 different wines, artisan cheeses, Tuscan salami and ham, along with Tuscan schiacciata bread, extra-virgin olive oil, Caprese salad made with their Marzolino, seasonal vegetables, and a traditional dessert with Mostarda di Cremona, chutney, and locally produced honey or jam is served.  All the Tuscan specialties are made from farm ingredients and prepared with age-old techniques and care by the family.
