Join us in the mountains high above the Amalfi Coast for a home-style cooking class with the wives of the farmers. Acres of vineyards along a small winding road lead you to the prestigious property where contadini food is appreciated. Contadini, literally translating to farmers, brings to mind the plentiful gardens of sun drenched tomatoes, beans, lettuce & herbs, squash, potatoes, root vegetables, mushrooms, along with eggplant and more.
Walk along the hilltop vineyard where precious grapes, Aglianico, Falanghina, Tintore and Piedirosso, grow under warm Mediterranean sun. You will learn a bit the process of wine harvesting too.
Following the vineyard tour, tie on your apron and join the farmer’s wives in the kitchen for a hands-on cooking class farm-to-table produce from the farm. In the cooking class, you will prepare an antipasto, pasta, main course and dessert. Wines from the property accompany each course. Everyone enjoys the foods that were made in the cooking class. Food, wine and great conversation with the wine makers and their wives make this authentic experience one you will remember forever. A full course lunch and wine included.
