Taormina One Day Market Tour & Cooking Class
Join our Sicilian family and tie on your apron with Chef Mimo for your Taormina market tour and hands-on cooking class. Say the word Taormina and images of Sicilian pasta, turquoise waters and nearby Mount Etna come to mind! In the kitchen at our Sicily cooking class, you’ll learn to make arancini, rice balls, pasta alla Norma and Sicilian cannoli with local wine.

Chef Mimo leads you through Taormina’s historic market where you’ll visit fruit, vegetable and cheese venders, and the fishmongers showcasing their catches of the day. Shop with the chef for the local ingredients that you’ll use in the cooking class to follow.
After the market tour, head to the kitchen for your hands-on cooking class featuring Sicilian specialties such as ricotta-stuffed zucchini flowers, and a pepper, eggplant and zucchini caponata. Also on the menu are stuffed artichokes with Chef Mimo’s secret Sicilian stuffing. Under Chef Mimo’s guidance, you’ll learn how to make fresh pasta with fish, meat or vegetarian sauces, and the famous pasta alla Norma with eggplant. Main courses include: involtini, rolled beef stuffed with artisan cheese and herbs or shrimp in lemon sauce. For dessert, there’s the ambrosial cannoli, cassata, and ricotta pie. Lunch follows and includes the foods that were prepared in cooking class with a wine pairing of two local Sicilian wines.
Experience our Taormina cooking class and take home delicious recipes that you will be able to recreate in your own kitchen. Our market tour and cooking class experience is available Monday through Saturday and begin at 9:00am.

If you have a non-cooker who would like dine, but not cook, please let us know your group size for pricing.

Group transfers for any cooking tour or tours that include transfers, are for the group and are not private. Transfers before, after or to another destination outside of your cooking tour are not included in the program price.
