What could be more exciting than a drive in a sporty red Ferrari from Rome to the Amalfi Coast accompanied by a dark Italian racecar driver?  Enjoy the ride, stop off to visit sites and monuments, and experience hands-on cooking classes in an authentic Italian kitchen. This is what our Slow Food-Fast Cars Program offers. This ultimate self-drive tour offers food, wine, culture and your chance to drive a red Ferrari throughout Italy!

Start out in the Eternal City of Rome and drive south to the beautiful Amalfi Coast. You will be accompanied by your own private Italian tour driver (in his own car) and expert Ferrari driver who will introduce you the world of Ferrari driving, while explaining the differences between the various models. He will go over the car and gear, and then you get to take your seat, buckle in and drive away. Each journey blends of art, architecture, gastronomy and spectacular scenery, while you drive your Ferrari along winding roads leading to the Amalfi Coast. Each night your accommodations will be at the area’s most luxurious hotels, with a list of award-winning restaurants. Behind the scenes, our staff will take complete care of your Ferrari. Every morning, you will find your car at the entrance of the hotel, clean, refueled, fully checked and ready to begin another day of exciting driving through dazzling landscapes. And when you are not driving you will be cooking.

Cooking Classes

During your drive, enjoy two hands-on cooking lessons in our Positano kitchen where you’ll meet our professional chef who will have you chopping, slicing, dicing and sautéing traditional antipasti, pasta, a main courses and dessert with the local seasonal produce.
Learn how to make hand-made ravioli Caprese, lemon risotto, insalata di mare, zuppa di pesce, or Neapolitan pizza Margherita, foccacia and calzone. Sweet endings include semifreddo, a caramel half-frozen ice cream topped with a raspberry sauce, torta Caprese, or tiramisù. Learn to cook classic recipes, traditional of the Amalfi Coast, that you will be able to recreate at home. Toast with a glass of local red or white wine and enjoy the view.

Travel Through Rome, Naples & The Amalfi Coast

Start your journey in Rome, the veritable open-air museum of monuments, architectural masterpieces and works of art. Every corner, every alleyway, every hidden piazza is home to a piece of history. While it is undeniably vibrant and hectic, it is always possible to find a quiet corner by heading down a narrow side street into a tiny piazza with quiet cafés and bars where you can sit and watch the world go by. Rome is all of this and more. Next stop Naples.

Lying in the shadow of Mount Vesuvius is the vibrant city of Naples. Just two hours south of Rome, Naples sits magnificently on the northeastern coast of the Bay of Naples, one of the most beautiful bays in all of Italy and the most important harbor in Southern Italy. Full of history, rich with beautiful artistry and treasures, and narrow, winding streets, ancient churches and museums, Naples and its people have a passion for life.

Positano is a little Moorish-style village, discovered by American and British troops at the end of World War II. Opening onto the Tyrrhenian Sea, this small town has attracted a plethora of renowned artists and writers including the famous writer John Steinbeck. Positano’s narrow winding streets are lined with tiny cafés, terraces, and artisan shops selling ceramics, limoncello, antiques and the distinctive Positano-style handmade clothes.
