Join our Sicilian Mamma Rosita in her home kitchen where she takes farm-to-table ingredients and transforms them into beautiful fare. Set in the hillside of Catania near to Mount Etna, Mamma shares her family recipes in hands-on cooking classes creating antipasto, fresh pasta and sauce, main courses and desserts with her family recipes. Tie on your apron and dice, chop, sauté delicious Sicilian traditions.
Together, prepare caponato, an eggplant speciality, mix and roll out fresh pasta with pistachio pesto, prepare recipes like polpette di pesce spada al sugo, small fish bites stewed in tomato sauce Chose from fish, meat and vegetarian too, while learning Sicilian cooking secrets along the way. Desserts in Sicily are like no where else, think cannoli, cassata and crostata alla ricotta. Following the cooking class everyone dines on the foods prepared in the cooking class with local wine included. In the summertime, everyone dines al fresco, weather permitting. Mamma Rosita welcomes you to her kitchen with open arms and lots of cooking, food and wine. Recipes, aprons and wine included.
