In the heart of Conversano, where trulli homes dot the ancient town with stone palazzos and castles, is Letizia’s kitchen.
Signora Letizia welcomes you to her kitchen in the heart of Puglia for hands-on cooking classes with lunch and dinner to follow. Using only in-season and local fruits, vegetables and produce, she welcomes each guest with open arms! Letizia, a local from Puglia, welcomes each guest to her villa while sharing her passion for cooking, culture and art.
In this one day cooking class, you will make Pugliesi homemade breads & focaccia, antipasti – polpette di melanzane, eggplant puffs; fresh pasta and sauces like ciceri e trio and tagliatelle with chick peas, and main courses such as cavatelli, roulades of veal in onion sauce or zuppa di pesce, seafood soup. Desserts are delicious with traditions such as torte, crostata, biscotti, purcedduzzi, small fried gnocchi with honey, and taralli. Following each cooking class, guests dine on the foods that were prepared in class, paired with a local red and wine.
Cooking classes begin at 5pm and are approximately 3 hours.
One Day Class Includes:
- Hands-on cooking class including the making of a full menu – appetizer, pasta, main course and a dessert.
- Lunch or dinner follows on the foods prepared in class. A toast of local wine combined with the fruits of your work is included.
$245 per person, based on minimum of 2 guests.
