Be An Italian Chef For The Day

In On-Line Cooking Classes

Join our family!

Join our family, Mamma Marie Lucia in on-line hands-on cooking classes and learn to prepare antipasti, fresh pastas and sauces, main courses and desserts.

You’ll also discover and enjoy precious Italian wines with my husband wine enthusiast Rino. Rino’s grandfather was a famous wine maker in San Felice a Cancello in Campania and Rino continues to make wine today.

Travel with us to Italy and step into our Italian kitchen where we share our cooking traditions with you. Cooking classes include recipe booklet, great food and conversation.  Each class is $45 per guest for groceries.

Cooking Class Menus

All recipes are designed to be recreated in your home kitchen.

Classes are approximately three hours with questions and discussions along the way.

On Line Cooking Classes And How They Work!

On-Line Cooking Classes

All cooking classes take place on Zoom from the comfort of your home and into our kitchen.  Once you email your requested cooking class or classes, we’ll send you a Reservation Form to fill out.  Please include one or any of your selected classes along with your food allergies. Once processed and confirmed, you will be sent an e-mail that will include a link for the class on that day.   Cooking classes are held at 4pm Eastern time and are approximately 2 hours to 90 minutes.  Recipes are sent in advance so that you can shop for the ingredients prior.  One cooker per computer or lap top only, please.  Kids 10 and under are half price with one adult paying.  On the day of the cooking class, we will meet on Zoom, cook together and enjoy the delicious foods that were prepared in the cooking class.  Group cooking class prices are $45 per person.  Extended menus and private cooking classes with tailor made menus are available upon request.

Private On-Line Cooking Classes

Private on line cooking classes are a fun option for birthday parties, a girls’ day or night get-together, or even a kids cooking class birthday party.  Whatever your wish I, I will be happy to plan it with you.  Please call me at 617.247.4112 or send in an e-mail to lauren@cooking-vacations.com, and I will send you a menu with different options according to season.  Once a menu is selected, we can plan the best time for you and your group according to your time-zone.

Cooking With Our Italian Family

Marie Lucia

Born and raised with Italian tradition and cooking skills like no other, my mom, Marie Lucia learned these authentic recipes from her mother, great grandmother and aunts who were from from Prata Sannita, Italy.  Prata Sannita is a small village in Campania where the local women are noted for their prized baking skills.  Marie Lucia has years of experience in cooking for her family, guests while in Italy, and baking for weddings and special events all around the world.

Lauren & Rino

Lauren, creator of Cooking Vacations, is a writer, cook, food lover and photographer, who shares her family recipes and traditions in each cooking class and tour.  Using recipes that were passed down in her family from Rome and Campania, she leads cooking classes throughout all of Italy’s 20 regions.

Gennaro, nick-named Rino, is a true Italian who was born in Pompei.  When he is not driving Cooking Vacations to landmarks and marketplaces, he is in the kitchen sharing his knowledge as a food lover.  He learned the art of cooking from his grandmothers and mom, while studying wine in Italy at his grandfather’s vineyard and cantina in San Felice a Cancello.  Rino adds his cooking skills and wine pairing know-how in every cooking class.  Rino and Lauren are married and split their time between Italy and Boston.
