Gelato Alla Frutta
Dating back to the 16th century, gelato is iconic to Italy. This delightful Italian frozen treat showcases the natural flavors of fresh fruits in a creamy ice cream. Made by combining pureed fruit, sugar, milk, and cream, the use of fresh, seasonal fruits is key to capturing the true essence of this dessert.
Gelato alla frutta is known for its intense flavors and lower fat content compared to traditional ice cream whilst offering a refreshing experience for all ice-cream lovers.
Purée fruit. Mix puréed fruit, sugar, milk, and cream in a food processor.
Pour in a pan and heat over low heat until all the sugar has dissolved.
Remove from heat and allow mixture to cool then pour in ice cream machine and make according to manufacturer’s instructions.
