White Onions Sauté

Put the onions into a pan with hot oil, salt and sugar.
When the sugar caramels and the onions get brown, add water and let them cook very well by light fire (15-20 minutes).
When they are nearly cooked, add some (balsamic) vinegar and by high fire let it evaporate.
