Learn how to prepare traditional antipasto, fresh pasta, a main course and desserts, while learning the traditions of Italy’s gastronomic heart in Modena. Cooking classes are designed for food lovers passionate to learn more about the products and history of this magical region, Emilia Romagna. Learn traditions and new skills while rolling out pasta and making Bolognese!!!
Learn how to make beautiful sheets of hand-made fresh pasta that’ll be hand-cut into tortellini, cappelletti and ravioli, along with seasonal sauces of Bolognese ragù, pumpkin and mushroom, to name but a few. Main courses are plentiful and include braised veal with fennel, zampone and even cotechino, stuffed pig trotter. Desserts, are delicious, and include the ever-moist torta Barozzi or torta nera, a black tart made with coffee, chocolate and almond. Learn about Parmigiano-Reggiano, – aged 12, 24 and 36 months, aceto balsamico, made from aged wine, and Bensone and Barozzi cake. Following the cooking class everyone dines together on the food that was prepared in class along with a toast of loal wine or traditioinal Lambrusco!
Program Includes:
- Hands-on cooking class preparing an antipasto, fresh pasta and sauce, main course and dessert, followed by lunch or dinner with a toast of wine included.
- Cooking Vacations’ recipe booklet and Chef’s apron.
Program Prices
$355 per person, based on a minimum two guests.
Available daily: classes start at 10:00am & 6:00pm and last 1 and a half to 2 hours, with lunch or dinner following.
* Please note: One-day cooking classes do not include transportation, accommodations, or any other excursions. If you would like to add on transfers to and from your hotel or cruise ship port ~ please let us know your group size and we will be happy to provide a price and reserve the transfer(s) for you. If you have a non-cooker who would like dine, but not cook, please let us know and we will also send you pricing.
