Learn how to prepare traditional foods of the Sorrento under the guidance of our Executive Chef team, using local, in-season and quality ingredients. You’ll be delighted at how the light recipes are, each a symphony of complimentary flavors – zucchini and tiny leaves of fresh mint, eggplant and thyme, seafood and delicate fronds of wild fennel, and chocolate with hazelnuts and pistachios. Sorrento Cooking Class
Each cooking class starts with a coffee or cappuccino and an introduction by our Executive Chef who’ll explain the day’s class. The Chef’s aim is to create foods that are both delicious and authentic, beautifully presented and that delight the palate. His approach is simple: high quality products cooked in the moment. The open kitchen is brimming with fresh ingredients: green herbs of basil, sage, rosemary and lemon leaves, as well as seasonal vegetables – pale green baby artichokes, tiny eggplant, wild asparagus and tomatoes of all shapes and sizes. You will learn techniques for traditional cooking, clean cuisine, delicate hand-made pasta, fresh local fish and decadent desserts.
In our Sorrento kitchen, top quality ingredients are treated with intelligence and respect to create simple, clean flavors: parmigiana di melanzane, deep fried zucchini flowers with ricotta & Parmesan, mezze paccheri pasta e calamari pasta with baby calamari and wild rocket pesto, handmade pasta with local shell fish, gnocchi alla Sorrentina, risotto con Mozzarella, gamberini alla menta e limone, risotto, rice, mozzarella cheese, mint and lemon, and for dessert lemon scented delizie al limone or torta Caperese.
Our team of Chefs are extremely passionate about their work and eager to share their myriad cooking skills. This is a kitchen concentrated on producing Michelin star cuisine on a plate.
Cooking Classes are available Monday-Friday and begin at 10:30am and located in the center of Sorrento. For cruise port pick-up and return, just call for details and pricing. Everyone enjoys the foods that were prepared in the cooking class along with a toast of wine included. Additional wine and beverages are available at a surcharge.

*Friends or family members in your group, who are not cooking, and want to join for lunch or dinner following the class, need to reserve in advance. Call to inquire about menus and pricing.
*Please note: One-day cooking classes do not include transportation, accommodations, or any other excursions. If you would like to add on transfers to and from your hotel or cruise ship port ~ please let us know your group size and we will be happy to reserve transfers for you. Transfers are an extra cost.
