Chef Ceci is your hostess for for hands-on cooking classes in the heart of Milan, Italy’s business and fashion capital.  Chef and food lover, she will make you feel right at home as you learn the art of Italian cooking  in her home kitchen.  Her hearty four course menus, include antipasto, hand made pasta, a main course and dessert with wine and cafe included. You can also choose a Market Tour with food lover Marhertia too and tour & taste the fabulous marketplace and food shops of Milan.

Roll up your sleeves for a day of cooking Milanense food, while sipping wine and enjoying sweet Italian hospitality. Chef Ceci leads you step-by-step in preparing recipes that you will   be able to create in your home kitchen!

Hands-On Cooking Class In Milan ~ 1 Day

Meet Chef Ceci for a warm introduction to your cooking class and menu of the day. Italian cooking is always seasonal and local, and Chef Ceci elaborates on the foods in season from the local market and the menu of the day.

Then tie on your apron and head into the kitchen to cook together, hands-on, a complete Italian four-course meal. Start by preparing the antipasto such as fresh tomato bruschetta, prosciutto e melone or insalata caprese, then a first course such as homemade pasta, risotto, gnocchi or vegetarian minestrone, a second course including meat, fish or a vegetable dish and a dessert such as tiramisù, chocolate cake, or fresh fruit salad with gelato. All ingredients are top quality, 100-percent Italian and fresh from the local market. Menus vary based on the season, food allergies, diet needs and special menu requests.

Each cooking class lasts about 2 ½ hours in the kitchen, lunch follows and includes the foods that were prepared in class. Everyone sits down together to eat as Chef Ceci, also a wine sommelier, discusses the local wine choice & pairing. End with an Italian espresso and Chef Ceci awards your cooking diploma!

Program Includes:

  • Hands-on cooking class including the preparation of a four-course menu: appetizer, first course, second course and dessert.
  • Lunch follows on the foods prepared in class with local wine, water and coffee included. Additional wines & beverages at a surcharge.
  • Recipe booklet and cooking diploma.

Cooking Classes are available at 10am or 6pm and last approximately 3 hours plus dining on the foods made in the cooking class to follow.  Cooking classes & Market tours start at 8:30am and 4:30pm.

* Please note: One-day cooking classes do not include transportation, accommodations, or any other excursions.  If you would like to add on transfers to and from your hotel or cruise ship port ~ please let us know your group size and we will be happy to provide a price and reserve the transfer(s) for you.  If you have a non-cooker who would like dine, but not cook, please let us know and we will also send you pricing.

Market Tour & Cooking Class In Milan ~ 1 Day

Meet Chef Ceci early in the morning for a market visit followed by hands-on cooking class in her central Milan home. The market bustles first thing in the morning and fruit & vegetables are delivered from the nearby farms, fresh fish from the bay in Liguria, meats & cheeses from the Alps and oven-baked breads in all shapes and sizes. Ceci guides you through the market to learn about the local products in season and how to choose the best foods to bring back to the kitchen.

Then stroll back with Chef Ceci to her home kitchen to cook together, hands-on, a complete Italian four-course meal.
