Cheese Tasting & Sipping Limoncello On The Amalfi Coast
Your private driver will pick you up for an early morning departure from Positano, Praiano, Sorrento*, Amalfi* or Ravello* for our Mozzarella and Limoncello tour to the hills of the Amalfi Coast. Along the way, take in the breathtaking views of the landscape of Positano and the Amalfi Coast where mountains and sea meet, and pastel color houses hang on a vertical terrain.
We continue through winding green hills and farmland where we will discover the art of Mozzarella and old-world cheese with our expert artisan cheese maker Signor Vittorio, Sari and family. The family has been making cheese for over 100 years and continues to produce the famous cheese by hand using local, freshest milk, and then works it into a creamy cheese, weaving it into braids and twists. See the process of the cheese making art as each piece of artisan cheese including Mozzarella, Provolone or Pecorino is formed. Soft, creamy, fresh and aged cheeses are the final product. The famous cheese making visit includes a tour through their workplace, seeing the artisans make it, a visit to the cheese cavern where is it aged naturally, with assorted cheese tastings to follow. At the end of the tour, you may also purchase any of the cheeses to take with you.
Following our cheese visit, we head to our artisan limoncello, Signor Valentino, liqueur and marmalade maker, along with Slow Food member, who will explain the history of the Amalfi Coast sfusato lemons and how they are made into delicious limoncello. We will tour the workplace, see the process of limoncello making – each lemon is hand-peeled, cut and put into alcohol, followed by a limoncello tasting with confections included. Signor Valentino follows the COVAL way of growing the prized organic lemons, which are hand-picked freshly every day, then transforms them into limoncello, marmalade, citrus candy and confections and panettone too. The tour also includes our Lemon Lifestyle Recipe Book filled with lemon recipes on how to make limoncello, cheese and other regional recipes from Positano and the Amalfi Coast.
Both tours are visits to artisan makers who share their family craft on cheese and limoncello with a private driver for the duration of the tour.

Pick up at 8:30am from Positano or Praiano to Mozzarella and Limoncello artisans and return.
