The enchanting sea-side town of Sorrento creates the perfect backdrop for a day of gelato making fun! Chef Mario will teach you all the secrets and techniques to making one of Italy’s most beloved and decadent treats. In sunny Sorrento, gelato is serious business, being both a science and an art. Using local milk and fresh garden ingredients like strawberries, pistachios, hazelnuts, berries and lemons, Chef Mario leads the way to creating mouthwateringly flavorful gelati. Made with less air than ice cream, the flavor hits every taste bud, allowing flavors like velvety chocolate, nutty nocciola and pistacchio, creamy stracciatella and caffè, and lip-puckeringly sweet limone to dance on your tongue. Classes are held in the afternoons, in both English and Italian, with tastings following on the delectable treats made in class. Classes last approximately 1 hour.
