Venice Kids Cooking Classes & Market Tours

Venice has an endless list of kids things to do, and with native Venetian Sara as your guide, who will lead your family through the city’s labyrinth layout, you will learn while having fun. The children of Venice are the most fortunate,- there are no cars, no noise, and lots of gelaterias (ice cream shops)! With Sara you will sail along the Grand Canal in a Gondola, climb the Bell Tower in Saint Mark’s Square towering 323 feet tall for a city view, cross over to the Lido for a different perspective or visit the Rialto Bridge by foot. Hop on a vaporetto to the Island of Murano to see the ancient art of glass blowing. These are a few of our favorite Kids’ things to see and do in Venice.

Rialto Market Tour & One Day Cooking Class for Kids

Join Chef Maria for a morning tour through Venice’s famous Rialto Market. This famous outdoor market is a busy scene starting at the crack of dawn as suppliers sail up from their barges, unload and set up their stands for what becomes a boisterous scene of buyers, sellers and spectators passing by, examining, negotiating between crates and stands piled sky high with goods. Fish is famous here, along with vegetables, herbs, spices, fruits and more. And this landmark marketplace has been setting up and doing this daily since 1097. Chef Maria heads directly to her established merchants for the best products and of course conversation of the day.

Following the market, it is off to the kitchen for your hands-on cooking class. Choose from Seafood, Fresh Pasta or Meat-based on Chef Maria’s seasonal menus. Special diet menus are available upon request. Lunch follows on the foods prepared in class. Local wine, soft drinks, water & dessert included. (Transportation not included)
