Cooking with a Tuscan Nonna in Siena ~ 1 Day


Tie on your apron and head into the kitchen in the Medieval city of Siena with Chef Gabriella. Learn about true Tuscan cooking hands-on from appetizer to dessert; including a fresh handmade pasta accompanied by sauces made from seasonal products.

Chef Gabriella offers two menu options, the Classic with three courses or the Deluxe with four courses.  Both menus are prepared with local, seasonal ingredients, and follow the old-world food philosophy. Menus reflect Gabriella’s passion for reviving historic recipes and giving them a contemporary twist, ensuring that dishes are lighter and better suited to the modern palate. Classics include delicious homemade pici pasta, tagliatelle, ravioli, then again local Chianina beef, beans, stuffed vegetables and of course, cantucci biscuits to be dipped in vin santo make for a perfetto ending!

Everyone joins in to enjoy the foods made in class following in lunch or dinner, and a ¼ liter of excellent local wine and mineral water (still or sparkling) is included. Morning classes start at 10am and afternoon classes start at 4pm.

One-Day Cooking Class The Classic with three courses

or the Deluxe with four courses.:

  • Hands-on cooking class with the preparation appetizer, first course, second course and dessert, all using the best and freshest ingredients of the season.
  • Lunch or dinner follows with the foods prepared in class. Local wine (¼ liter per person) and water included.  Additional wine & beverages at a surcharge.

* Please note: One-day cooking classes do not include transportation, accommodations, or any other excursions.  If you would like to add on transfers to and from your hotel or cruise ship port ~ please let us know your group size and we will be happy to provide a price and reserve the transfer(s) for you.  If you have a non-cooker who would like dine, but not cook, please let us know and we will also send you pricing.
