Tie on your apron for our Advanced Cooking Sorrento experience with an award-winning executive Chef fin the heart of Sorrento.  Learn how to prepare traditional cuisine using farm-to-table ingredients.  Under the guidance of Chef Guiseppe transforming ingredients into edible works of art.  From summer vegetables  – zucchini, mint, eggplant and thyme – to seafood, you will be learning, enjoying and discovering the food and wine of Sorrento.

Advanced Sorrento Cooking Class – Michelin-Star Chef

Each cooking class starts with a coffee or cappuccino and an introduction with the chef who’ll explain the day’s cooking class.   His approach is simple: high quality products prepared in the moment. Experience an open kitchen that is brimming with fresh green herbs – basil, sage, rosemary and lemon leaves, as well as seasonal vegetables – pale green baby artichokes, tiny eggplant, wild asparagus and tomatoes of all shapes and sizes.  Learn how to prepare parmigiana di melanzane, deep fried zucchini flowers with ricotta and Parmigianno; mezze paccheri pasta e calamari pasta with baby calamari and wild rocket pesto, handmade pasta with local shell fish, gnocchi alla Sorrentina, risotto con Mozzarella, gamberini alla menta e limone, risotto, rice, mozzarella cheese, mint and lemon.  Desserts are delicious and include lemon scented delizie al limone, torta Caperese or panna cotta.  Following each cooking class, everyone enjoys the food that was prepared in the class with wine included.

When you are not cooking, tour the Amalfi Coast, Positano and Ravello, stroll through Piazza Tasso and enjoy a creamy gelato or do a little shopping.  You can also opt to add on Italian language classes, please just ask!

Join our English-speaking guide for Food Lover’s tour of Sorrento through the cobblestone streets while learning and tasting along the way.  Visit the royal gardens and pass by Italian villas, artisan food shops and churches while discovering their historic stories.  Our one-of-a-kding Food Lover’s Tour begins with an introduction to Sorrento and continues to the artisan pastry shop, bread maker, limoncello producer, fruit seller, fishmonger, butcher, cheese and wine – buon appetito!!!

Itinerary ~ 5 Nights & 6 Days

Day One: Welcome, Arrival & Check In

  • Upon your arrival, you are welcomed with a Prosecco. Check in, relax and unwind.
  • Enjoy our Welcome Dinner featuring with a Chef’s Tasting menu featuring local fare.  Wine is not included.

Day Two: Cooking Class 1 & Sorrento Food Lover’s Tour

  • Breakfast is served.
  • Following breakfast, tie on your apron for Cooking Class 1: Meet our Chef for the introduction with caffé or cappuccino, then visit the market.  Learn how to shop for farm-to-table ingredients.
  • Following the market tour, discover extra virgin olive oil in an informal tasting.
  • Next, tie on your apron for your hands-on cooking class preparing a full course menu.  Following the cooking class, everyone enjoys the food that was prepared in the class with wine included.
  • Later in the afternoon, meet our English-speaking guide for the Sorrento Food Lover’s Tour.  Tastings included
  • Dinner is on your own and suggestions are provided.

Day Three: Excursion to Pompeii

  • Breakfast is served.
  • Following breakfast, meet your driver for an excursion to Pompeii.  Visit the ancient archeological ruins of Pompeii, a city that was covered by the eruptions of Vesuvio in 79AD. Discover the ancient theatres, restaurants and taverns, villas with mosaics and frescoes that were once the homes of the wealthy.  You may want to add on our English-speaking guide, please ask for pricing based on your group size.
  • Following your Pompeii tour, relax by the pool, stroll to Piazza Tasso or simply enjoy a wine at the Tasso Café and soak in the Italian atmosphere..
  • Dinner is on your own and suggestions are provided.

Day Four: Wine Tasting & Cooking Class 2

  • Breakfast is served.
  • Following breakfast, discover the local wine of Campania.  Meet the professional sommelier who lead you through an official wine tasting, explaining and guiding your through with artisan bread and cheese included.
  • Next, tie on your apron for your hands-on cooking class preparing a full course menu.  Following the cooking class, everyone enjoys the food that was prepared in the class with wine included.

Day Five: Amalfi Coast Excursion

  • Breakfast is served.
  • Following breakfast, meet your driver for a full day excursion to the Amalfi Coast visiting Positano and Ravello.  Visit the Amalfi Coast, see the sites –  lemon groves and pastel colored towns of Positano and Ravello.
  • Take time out for lunch on your own.
  • Dinner is on your own and suggestions are provided.

Day Six: Departure

  • Breakfast is served.
  • Departure transfer to Naples Airport or Train Station. Arrivederci!
